I Sold My Baby For ₦600,000 To Start A Business
According to Vanguard, a 26-year-old woman, Rachael, has revealed that she sold her two-week-old baby for ₦600,000 due to her inability to care for the child.
However, the baby was later sold to a 42-year-old woman for ₦4 million, while Rachael received only ₦600,000 from the transaction.
Rachael, a resident of Asaba, Delta State, was paraded by the State Police Command alongside two accomplices.
Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident. Rachael explained that she already had another son and found it difficult to provide for both children.
The father of the baby denied paternity, leaving Rachael to shoulder the responsibility of caring for the infant.
