“So, a guy I met on TikTok just two weeks ago got me a car. We started talking recently, and one day he came to meet me in Wuse after I told him I was there.
While we were talking, he asked why I didn’t have a car. I jokingly replied, “Is car biscuit that I can just enter any shop and buy one?” We laughed and that was it.
A few days later, I was complaining about spending ₦13,000 on a Bolt ride to my bank in Utako. I said, “Person suppose get car.” He asked if I wanted one, and I jokingly said, “If they give me car, I’ll collect.”
Two days later, he asked what car I wanted. I didn’t take him seriously. Then he requested my house address, saying he wanted to send me something. I thought it would be donuts or ice cream because I had told him I liked them.
Instead, someone called me to come outside. I saw a man standing beside a car. He handed me the documents, and I was shocked to see the car was registered in my name.
I was excited at first, but my friends had different opinions. One said I should return it, while the other said I should keep it. My mum and siblings all advised me to return the car.
So I called him and thanked him, but told him I couldn’t accept such an expensive gift because we had just met. That’s when he told me he wasn’t trying to date me—he wanted to marry me.
I asked how he could be talking about marriage when we barely knew each other. He said even if it takes forever to know me, he still wanted to marry me. Right now, I’m confused but happy. So, what do you guys think? Should I return the car or keep it…?
