Meta Finally Lifts Donald Trump’s Facebook And Instagram Restrictions.

Meta has finally lifted the remaining restrictions on former America’s President, Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts ahead of the upcoming Republican convention next week.

The president of the Meta’s global affairs, Nick Clegg, has announced that, Friday will be the Republican and Democratic national conventions approaching and the formal nomination of presidential candidates underway, both parties’ nominees should have equal opportunity for political expression.

Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended during January 2021, because he followed the Capitol attack, due to his posts as endorsing violence.

Although  Meta decided to fully lift these penalties on Friday and access was partially restored in 2023 with restrictions.

Clegg explained that the initial ban was an exceptional decision made under extraordinary circumstances.
