Jose Mourinho have been appointed AS Roma new manager from next season after being sacked by Premier League side Tottenham.
Mourinho was appointed on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, just hours after AS Roma confirmed that current boss Paulo Fonseca would depart at the end of the current campaign.
“The club are delighted to announce an agreement has been reached with Jose Mourinho for him to become our new head coach ahead of the 2021-22 season,” the club tweeted.

A statement on the club’s website read, “On behalf of everyone at AS Roma, we would like to thank Paulo Fonseca for his hard work and leadership over the past two years,” said club chairman Dan Friedkin.
“Mourinho has agreed a three-year contract with the Giallorossi that will run until 30 June 2024. He will begin his new role ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.”
