A joint album Rick Ross and Drake could actually see the light of day.
After rumors surfaced last month, Rick Ross is addressing the prospect of a collaborative effort with Champagne Papi. Speaking with Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5, Rozay said a joint album remains on the table.
Last month, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson fueled speculation of a joint effort between the MMG boss and OVO mogul when he was asked to share his favorite Drake and Rick Ross collaboration. The former NFL star raised eyebrows by claiming that the duo had a joint project in the works.
“The joint album they’re doing together with unseat all projects they’ve done to date,” tweeted Johnson.

It’s not the first time a Drake and Ross collaborative project has been discussed. Years back, the pair were said to be working on ‘The YOLO Tape’ after Ross coined the phrase on Drake’s ‘Lord Knows’ and Drizzy continued to run with the idea on 2012’s ‘The Motto’.
If the project does eventually come to fruition, Ross and Drake have some big hits to follow. Their recent collaborations include “Gold Roses” and “Money in the Grave,” Take Care’s “Lord Knows,” “Aston Martin Music,” “I’m On One,” “Stay Schemin,” “Free Spirit,” “Diced Pineapples,” “Pop That,” “No New Friends” and “Made Men.”
The latest record from the Canadian rapper was set for a January 2021 release date but was postponed after Drake injured his knee.
Speaking on OVO Sound Radio, Drake confirmed that the album was “currently being chef’d in every way possible” and explained that he has been working with regular collaborators Noel Cadastre and Noah “40” Shebib.
“I don’t have an exact date, but it’s in the pot and it’s coming soon,” he said.
