Ahead of the election in Kogi state, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has said he is working hard to ensure the incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello, gets the people’s mandate.
According to the Kaduna governor, he is committed to the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the coming polls, The Cable reports.
He disclosed this in a statement issued by his special adviser on media and communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, on Sunday, November 10.
Part of the statement read: “The people of Kogi state will make their free choice at the ballot. Therefore, every political actor has a duty to ensure that the voters act on the basis of accurate information, not lies and fake news.”
Adekeye said his boss will be visiting Kogi this week, alongside other members of the campaign council.
He said the ruling party will not stop campaigning to persuade the people of Kogi to give their mandate to the APC again, just like they did four years ago.
