How I’ll Defeat Akeredolu – PDP’s Eyitayo Jegede Reveals to reporters.
The people’s democratic party (PDP) Gubernatorial candidate for the October 10 Ondo State elections has revealed how he hopes to defeat his counter part and currently Leader, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
It is officially on report that the Contestant Eyitayo Jegede won the primaries held on Wednesday with a total of 888 votes ahead the states Deputy Governor who had 657 votes and 6 others.
We should however note that Mr Jegede is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Ipele town, near Owo and a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the state.
Mr Jegede also won the PDP primary in 2016, and flew the flag of the party in that year’s governorship election, a contest he lost to Mr Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking to news men after the primaries Eyitayo Jegede said by the Surpport of the people “We would take over the city of Ondo State come October 2020.” he said :
“We are all winners in Ondo State and I dedicate this victory to the people of Ondo and to my co-aspirants, who have shown sportsmanship.
“By this victory, we serve a notice on the APC that for them, the end has come. By the grace of God, with the assistance of the people and with the support of all the co-aspirants, we will take over the government of Ondo State come October 2020.”
As funny as it looks, the Deputy Governor said he would work with Mr Jegede to ensure the Current government is taken over.
On the other hand, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu said he would win the election with experience as a governor.
