In cognizance with efforts to Reduced the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in Ebonyi state, the State government through its media aid revealed that, that has instituted a special Anti-corona Task force.
Naijamixed reports that after a chat with the leader of the Task force Mr Nwiboko chika , the civil institution was instituted to ensure compliance with the Directives of Ebonyi state Government as regards The Novel COVID-19.
Furthermore, all the Retail and whole sale traders In Ebonyi state has been Asked to purchase a bucket as well as a hand sanitizer after being directed to keep the bucket in their shops with the aim of asking customers who patronize them to wash their hands before and after the transactions must have taken place, Chika explained.
Revealing further, “Our mission solely is to make sure that traders comply with further Directives of Ebonyi state Government in other to help fight the spread of coronavirus in the state”.
The state government also ordered the shutdown of all religious gatherings and irrelevant bussiness organizations in the states making sure they comply with the quarantine Directives.
Mr chika further added ” I thank God that we have not recorded any case of COVID-19 so far, in the state but a phrase says” prevention is better than cure”, these listed measures are aimed at reducing the spread of coronavirus in the state” he added.
The governor of Ebonyi State through an online medium was reported to have earmarked N200m to reduce the effect of the peoples hardship during the shut down period.
Governor umahi further cautioned against hoarding of food materials, Sensitive drugs and other essential goods and services adding that the Refusal to market these products would constitute an offence.
The Governor disclosed this in The state capital, Abakiliki during the signing of the EBONYI STATE CORONAVIRUS OTHER DANGEROUS INFECTIOUS DISEASE AND RELATED MATTERS LAW 005 of 2020 at the New Government house complex, noting clearly that his administration was all out to safeguard the residents of the state.
