Real Madrid begin their Champions League campaign during the week against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes. Levante are next in action at home against Eibar next week.
Real Madrid hold on to secure their second win of the LaLiga campaign, closing out a 3-2 triumph over Levante at the Bernabeu.
Zinedine Zidane’s men were excellent in the first half as a brace from Karim Benzema along with a strike from Casemiro put them in control of the contest.
However, Borja Mayoral responded in the second half for the visitors, while Los Blancos struggled to regain their clinical edge. Gonzalo Melero set up a tense finish when he headed home from close range.
Madrid were indebted to a fine stop from Thibaut Courtois to hold on to the three points as he denied Ruben Vezo from close range. The home side secured the victory, but Zidane will still have concerns about the standard of their performances. Levante will be wondering why they didn’t perform to that standard in the first half and will rue their sloppiness that resulted in their second defeat of the campaign.
